BodyElements Massage

I only treat people who cannot find relief following injuries, surgeries or have been dealing with chronic pain. I specialize in medical, sports and trauma injuries.  Unlike traditional massage, I perform really deep tissue massage (3+ layers of tissue) to find the core issues and help them relax and heal. I incorporate tensegrity, which is the understanding of how the body works mechanically. The body is not a tree with limbs; it's a series of levers and pulleys that hold us together. These levers and pulleys often get misaligned or pulled out of place through injuries or long term stress on the body or even the mind.  If you understand the dynamics of the body, you will find the real cause of the injury, which is often not where the pain is located.  This is not easy, nor fast. It is tedious and time consuming, but eventually you will find relief. It will not happen immediately, it may take a few sessions, but as many of you know, I guarantee my work and if I can't show improvement in five sessions, I will refund your money and refer you to someone else.

I am now also certified in Microcurrent Point Stimulation Therapy (MPS). The MPS device identifies and applies concentrated DC microcurrent to therapeutically active points, including acupuncture and trigger points, to promote relaxation and enhance overall well-being. This technique emphasizes delivering gentle electrical currents that specifically address areas of tension in the body. By stimulating these points, the treatment aims to relieve muscle tightness, alleviate stress, and cultivate a sense of calm. This innovative method combines the principles of traditional acupuncture with modern technology to create a holistic experience that fosters both physical and mental relaxation, soothing the nervous system and releasing endorphins—the body's natural painkillers. The MPS device is gently applied to each side of visible scars, allowing the DC microcurrent to penetrate deeply into the skin's tissue. As the microcurrent enters your body, it aids in electrically "repolarizing," or breaking down, thickened scar tissue, while also releasing fascia and muscles impacted by scarring. Enhanced circulation facilitates the lymphatic system's removal of dead cells from the body, promoting blood flow and healing in the area. All these effects contribute to restoring mobility, improving the appearance of scars, and alleviating pain both at the scar site and in other areas affected by the scar. In many instances, relief can be experienced after just one application! However, most individuals will need several treatments depending on the scar’s size or depth, such as in the case of a C-section.

Another new treatment modality that I'll be using regularly is orthopedic cupping. Don't be afraid, because unlike traditional cupping where people look like they tangled with an octopus after being treated, I will only use a few and only over areas that have major adhesions or trigger points. It will save time, while doing the least invasive massages.
